Your front door, at your own address
Every practice gets its own booking-page address, chosen when the account is created. The page is public and we do not hide it from search engines, so you can put the link in your Google Maps listing, on your own site or in your text signature - and somebody who finds you there books without ringing.
What a patient sees, and what they do not
Four things worth knowing before you send anybody this link.
Only the hours you marked public
A private block does not exist on this page: a patient sees neither a free slot nor a note that something is taken. It is the same rule you set in the schedule, and it is what makes publishing the page safe at all.
No account, no app, no JavaScript
The patient picks a service and an hour and leaves a name and a number. The whole flow is ordinary pages sent from the server - it works on a weak signal and on a five-year-old phone.
A new number is confirmed by text
Before a booking becomes real, a code goes to the number given. So appointments against numbers nobody answers do not reach your calendar, and the attempt limit is counted per number rather than per browser.
The confirmation goes out immediately
Right after booking, the patient gets a confirmation with a link to that one appointment. The same link reschedules or cancels it, and your calendar changes on its own.
Why this is not a marketplace
New patients can arrive this way and that is fine - but they arrive through your channel. There is no directory placing you beside the practice down the road, no ranking whose order somebody else decides, and no commission per visit. We have no pool of patients, so there is nothing to rent back to you.
The practical difference is that the link is yours. You put it where people already look for you: your Google Maps listing, your own site, your door. If you ever stop using Appointomat you lose a tool, not the place where patients learned to find you.

Questions
Do I need my own website?
No. The booking page works on its own, at its own address, and the link is all you need. If you have a site or a Google Maps listing, you add it there - that is the whole setup.
Will a patient see my whole week?
Only the blocks of hours you mark public. Monday mornings can stay entirely yours, and there will be no trace of them on the booking page - neither a free slot nor a note that something is there.
Is my phone number on the page?
No, it is not on it at the moment. A patient who would rather call finds your number where they always did - your Google listing, your own site, your door. The telephone stays an ordinary way to book and nothing in Appointomat makes it harder.
Can somebody book an hour and not turn up?
A new patient's number is confirmed with a code sent by text, so bookings from random numbers do not get through. No-shows are a separate matter: the counter on the patient record works today, while a booking limit after repeated no-shows and a hold on the card are marked on the home page as not working yet.
